How Can I Get a card?

When you apply for a CSCS card, you must demonstrate that you have the education and experience necessary to perform your work.

The only vocations eligible for this black card are managerial and technical ones. who have attained NVQ/SVQ levels 4, 5, 6 or 7 in construction management or similar technical fields.

Most of the time, you’ll also need to pass the CITB Managers and Professionals Health, Safety, and Environment Test. If you’ve just passed a construction manager-level NVQ, you can be exempt from this test until September 2nd, 2019.

When scheduled directly with the CITB, the card application costs £36 and the additional CITB Health, safety, and environment test costs £21 each. Five years will pass before your card expires.
